Kawasaki Z1R Racer

An opportunity has come Darvill Racing’s way. We have acquired a new bike for development, its a 1974 Kawasaki Z1R machine. It has been fully restored and ready for the Darvill treatment .

The Z1000 is a bike built from scratch by Team Glam Racing and was run in practice at Cartegena last year. Other than that the motor is completely fresh.

The specification is:
Z900 cases and gas flowed head
Race cams to Team Glam specification
Crank welded, lightened and balanced
HyVo chain conversion
Race gearbox with undercut gears
Race exhaust
Sump welded and side drain fitted
Mikuni smoothbores rebuilt from scratch
Frame delugged and braced to Team Glam spec.
Davida swing arm
Brembo brakes and master cylinder with 280mm disks (we have a 300mm conversion ready to go with New AP Callipers and Master Cylinder)
Cerani forks and currently running on Ohlins piggyback rears.
